ACT Math Help – ACT Tutoring that works

Dominick Cooper, founder of Launch Academy, explains what makes Launch Academy different and how they can help you with your ACT Math Help!

Have you ever wondered what makes ACT Tutoring effective, especially with ACT Math Help? Well, to address that, Launch Academy has actually created a robust program that helps students with that particular area! Whether is trigonometry, geometry, or another math area, there are certain things that are consistently tested on the ACT. These consistently tested areas can make or break a student’s score, so let’s dive in to it! I don’t know about you but I believe math is a winnable subject!

Why do I think it is winnable? Because math is based on rules! If you follow the rules, you’ll get the right answer – every time! I remember when I was in school that math was intimidating to me because all of my peers hated math. It’s almost like it was the cool thing to be bad at math – how dumb! I ended up sticking out because I was good at math and decided to embrace that rather than drift with the kids who were “bad at math” – many of whom actually could have been good! This taught me a very important lesson. Friends make a difference, especially when it comes to excelling in school subjects like math.

To break this down, a quote by Reid Hoffman comes to mind – “The fastest way to get to where you want to be in life is to hang out with people who are already there.” At Launch Academy, our coaches are all required to have at least a 30 or higher on their ACTs. This ensures that you or your student gets someone who not only knows the material but also knows the test that it relates to. I don’t have to tell you how important an ACT score can be – especially the ACT Math section! A lot of colleges of engineering and science will look at that specific ACT score when deciding to admit a student or not.

Going back to my example, math doesn’t have to be hard. A lot of students excel at it in school and ACT math doesn’t have to be difficult. The primary areas tested are geometry, functions, algebra, number sense, and statistics (though this last part is pretty minimal). Word problems tend to trip students up quite a bit, but we actually review that in our ACT Boot Camp course that we offer a week prior to the ACT. There are tons of websites out there like KhanAcademy and Academy.act.org that can help students prepare too.

Here’s the bottom line – if you want to maximize your ACT score, you need a coach. In my humble opinion, Launch Academy is the best in that the coaches are actually paid based on the student’s improvement! I’ve never heard of a tutoring company doing that!
