Dominick Cooper is no stranger to academic success. In 2011, he was selected as one of Oklahoma’s DaVinci Scholars – an award that honors educators for creative teaching – and was nominated in 2013 for Tulsa’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Nick is the director for Launch Academy’s Life Skills Program and brings something unique to the company that helps set us apart from everybody else. Having struggled in academics in high school, he developed new, creative ways to teach himself the most difficult subject areas.
She attended Mississippi State University on a full-ride scholarship and graduated with a double major in French and Aerospace Engineering (yes, she’s a rocket scientist but doesn’t like to admit it). She also earned a 34 on the ACT and a 2220 on the SAT, both scores above the 90th percentile. She was valedictorian of her school, as well as a national merit finalist.
Corey is a Tulsa native who graduated from Jenks High School and then attended Oklahoma State University, where he majored in history and political science. While in high school, he was a national qualifier in the national Forensics Debate League and a national qualifier in Distributive Education Clubs of America. In college, he was on the dean’s honor roll, along with being an active member of the history club on campus. He continues to be an excellent tutor for humanities, liberal arts, and life skills.
Jennifer in an Oklahoma native who graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business and Finance. In school, she was an AP Scholar, an OU Scholar, and on the Dean’s Honor Roll. In addition, she got a 30 on her ACT and started her own non-profit company while she was still a sophomore in college.
Dylan graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Biology and currently plans on attending medical school. He received the UCO Freshman Merit Scholarship for his GPA and his ACT score (a 31), which paid for most of his undergraduate degree. He also received the ACACIA Scholar of the Year and the Central Standout Award for grades and leadership roles while in college. He’s helped many students increase their ACT scores, improve their GPA, and also develop life skills like time management and goal-setting.
Kevin King attended Oral Roberts University, obtaining a degree in finance, and is currently pursuing his masters at LSU. In addition, he was a recipient of the President’s Award for Educational Excellence, which honors students who have achieved high academic goals through hard work and dedication to learning. He also scored in the top 5% of ACT national test-takers. He has a mind for academics and shares his habits and strategies with his students.
Sarah is an upperclassmen at University of Tulsa, where she is majoring in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. When it comes to standardized tests, she is a powerhouse. She scored a 35 on her ACT (36 superscore) and a 2280 on her SAT. In addition, she was a National Merit Scholar, Advanced Placement Scholar, a top 10 finisher in the Excellence in Mathematics competition, and landed an internship with the secret service. Because of this she received a full-ride scholarship and passes her techniques on to the students she instructs.
Dalton Gilpatrick is a math and science superstar – he graduated Valedictorian from The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics and scored a 33 on his ACT. In addition, he was a member of the National Honor Society, Class President, and a Vision Scholarship Recipient. He currently attends University of Tulsa where he is majoring in Petroleum Engineering. In addition to academics, he also loves coaching students on time-management and organization.
Natalie seems to excel in every academic area. She is currently pursuing a double major in English Literature and French from Oral Roberts University and was awarded with the Fellows Honors Scholarship, amounting to $80,000. She was also recognized as the top student for excellence in her French clas, was deemed an AP Scholar by the CollegeBoard, and scored a 33 on her ACT. One final, incredible fact: AP Human Geography course was not offered at her high school, since too few students signed up; She decided to learn the material on her own time during the year and took the AP test in the spring, scoring a 4.
Jess Parham is natural scholar and Tulsa native. After scoring a 30 on her ACT, she was accepted to the University of Oklahoma, where she is currently finishing her degree in Mandarin Chinese. To further add to her degree, she was a Gilman Scholar, which allowed her to study abroad in China for a year.
