The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB is a necessary test for anybody interested in serving their country by joining the military. The ASVAB has 10 tests. Your scores from four of the tests are combined to compute your score on the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT). These scores on the AFQT are used to determine your eligibility for enlistment in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps. These four, very important tests are Word Knowledge (WK), Paragraph Comprehension (PC), Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), and Mathematics Knowledge (MK). Along with them, the scores on all of the ASVAB tests are used to determine the best job for you in the military.
So, in short: The “Big Four” are the areas to focus on. Luckily, we take it a step further.

Word Knowledge

Arithmetic Reasoning
We all make inferences every day. The higher the sun is, the hotter it is. The more you run the AC, the cooler it gets. The problem is translating these common sense inferences into graphs and equations and analyzing them. Luckily, there’s certain words and patterns that you can learn to help you break down complex problems into bite-size pieces. Once you got that conversion down, with practice, your arithmetic reasoning will be second nature.
Mathematics Knowledge
So you didn’t pay attention in math class? Not a problem. Pay attention now and you can make up for that and more. Imagine your math knowledge like a piece of Swiss cheese. It’s still there, but just with a few holes. That’s where we come in – we fill in the holes. We don’t waste time teaching you things you already know.
